Veidekke ASA: Awarded new contract at Malmö Designer Village

Veidekke ASA: Awarded new contract at Malmö Designer Village

Veidekke has signed a contract for the next phase of Malmö Designer Village,

which will become Scandinavia's largest outlet for fashion and lifestyle brands.

The client is the property developer FREY Group.

Malmö Designer Village is already in full production. To date, Veidekke has been

awarded contracts totalling approximately SEK 530 million, of which the new

phase comprises approximately SEK 315 million and is expected to be completed in

the second quarter of 2027.

The first part of the outlet village comprises 26,000 square meters of new

construction with associated common areas, parking, complementary buildings and

foundation works. The project aims for certification in accordance with BREEAM

Excellent, which reflects the highest standards for sustainable design,

construction and operational efficiency.

"Being entrusted with a new phase is much appreciated - confirming our solid

cooperation in a project which emphasises customer experience and high

sustainability ambitions," says Ulf Sterner, Regional Manager at Veidekke Bygg

Syd.

"Malmö Designer Village will be a truly unique destination where design,

sustainability, and the joy of shopping come together. We are delighted to

continue our collaboration with Veidekke to bring this project to life. Our

ambition is to create a genuine showcase for brands; an environment that is both

inspiring and high performing, designed to showcase their unique brand character

while strengthening their connection with customers", says Antoine Frey,

Chairman and CEO of FREY.

Malmö Designer Village will embody FREY's vision of an outdoor retail concept

built on local roots and setting a new standard for customer experience and

environmental performance. Here, more than 130 international and Scandinavian

fashion and lifestyle brands will be surrounded by landscaped gardens and

sustainable design and be complemented by a unique Street Food Market, cafes and

restaurants, a playground and other facilities.

The contract is included in the Q4 2025 order book.
