Veidekke: Building homes for Bonava in Vestby

Bonava has commissioned Veidekke to build 92 apartments in the Gartneritaket

residential housing project in Vestby municipality. The contract is a design and

build contract valued at NOK 250 million excluding VAT. This represents the

first phase of construction in a major project that will see almost 500 Nordic

eco-labelled homes built over the coming years.

Gartneritaket will be one of the biggest independent housing projects in Vestby.

Its location is very central, meaning that schools, kindergartens, the Vestby

Storsenter mall and the railway station are all on the doorstep. Apartments in

the first phase of construction will range from 24-114 m[2] in size. The rooftop

garden incorporated into the project will serve as a meeting place for

residents, providing them with outdoor living space, kitchen areas with long

tables and greenhouses, as well as small park areas with fruit trees located

both on the roof and in the ground-level surroundings to ensure the best

possible living environment.

Start of construction is scheduled for August with handover of the first phase
