Veidekke ASA: To build even more at Vollebekk

OBOS Nye Hjem and Aspelin Ramm have awarded Veidekke the contract to build

Fiolen, which is the third building stage with 116 apartments, commercial

premises and parking facilities at Vollebekk in eastern Oslo. This is a turnkey

construction contract valued at NOK 232 million, excluding VAT.

This stage comprises a building consisting of four parts from six to eight

storeys above ground. In addition to the 116 apartments, Veidekke shall erect a

shell for commercial premises on the lower floors, in addition to parking,

storage rooms and technical rooms in two underground storeys.

work on transforming Vollebekk from an industrial site to an attractive

residential community. Here we have been a part of developing the project from

the start, and together all players have been involved to ensure an optimal and

integrated building process," says director Anders W. Haugen of Veidekke Bygg

Oslo.

Vollebekk is located near Risløkka in the district of Bjerke, and was for many

years known as an industrial area. This is now changing thanks to a major urban

development project in which large sections will be redeveloped from the ground

up. The project will be a green and urban district just 13 minutes by Metro from

Jernbanetorget, but at the same time close to scenic hiking areas and

Lillomarka. When it is complete, the new residential project will comprise more

than 800 homes in total, with some commercial premises.

Construction work starts at the end of April, with completion planned for the
