Veidekke to build 66 homes in Ås

Veidekke Entreprenør has been awarded the contract by Nordbyveien 74 AS (Veidekke Eiendom) to build 66 apartments in two blocks with parking and retail premises close to the centre of Ski, but in Ås municipality. This is a turnkey contract valued at NOK 134 million, excluding VAT.

The contract involves building one, two and three bedroom apartments in two construction stages. The first construction stage will have 27 apartments in a four-storey block with a grocery on the ground floor, while the second stage will have 39 apartments in a five-storey block. The basement level will have a parking facility. All of the apartments will have balconies or terraces, and most will have glass fronts. The façades on the first construction stage will have wood cladding and areas with light-coloured boards, while cast and wood will be the main elements on the stage two façades.

The project, named Grenselunden, has raised bid interest, and so far, 51 of the 66 apartments are sold. Grenselunden will have a green and open location with good recreational areas in the neighbourhood, yet only a couple of minutes drive to the centre of Ski and five minutes to the Tusenfryd amusement park.

Groundwork at the site has started. Completion and occupation is planned from the autumn of 2018 for the first stage, and towards the spring/summer of 2019 for the remaining homes in the second construction stage.
