Veidekke ASA: To build more homes at Frysja in Oslo

Veidekke has been given the contract by OBOS Nye Hjem and Stor-Oslo Eiendom to

also build the second stage of the Frysjaparken residential project near

Nordmarka in Oslo. The new contract is a design and build contract valued at NOK

535 million excluding VAT for 225 apartments in three buildings. The contract

also includes a letter of intent on the development of a third stage.

The Frysja area lies between Maridalsvannet and Nydalen, and here industry is

moving out to make way for people. In February 2018 Veidekke started building

the first 154 apartments, and the entire project will comprise more than 900

residential units and some commercial property when completed. Frysjaparken will

be a green and urban residential area where emphasis is on proximity to the

forest. Green, screened-off courtyards with recreational areas, parks, roof

gardens and areas for socialising will be built between the buildings.

Building is expected to start in the third quarter, with occupation planned for
