Veidekke ASA: To build for Brønnøysund Register Centre

Veidekke has been awarded the contract by real estate company Søren Nielsen AS

to build en environmentally certified office building that will be leased to the

Brønnøysund Register Centre. This will be a design and build contract valued at

approx. NOK 500 million, excluding VAT.

"It means a lot to us to win this contract, and we are grateful for the

confidence shown in us and proud that we were chosen. This will be an important

building for a lot of people, and its location on the quay will make it highly

visible from the sea and in the town centre. In addition to extensive

requirements to sustainability, energy and the environment, there are stringent

security requirements for the building. This will be a unique building, and we

are now looking forward to starting construction work," says director Birte

Almeland of Veidekke.

It will be an attractive, modern and efficient office building that will

accommodate more than 500 employees of the Brønnøysund Register Centre. The

project's focus is on high quality and strict environmental requirements, as

well as meeting the requirements of a modern, knowledge-based enterprise. The

building will be certified in accordance with the BREEAM NOR "Very Good" class.

The overall floor area will be almost 15,000 m2across two seven storey buildings

connected by a central glass atrium. Light, air and views will create well-being

and attractive meeting grounds. A canteen with a roof terrace will crown the

building with a spectacular view of the open sea and Vega.

"In partnership with client Søren Nielsen AS and RATIO architects, we at

Veidekke and our subsidiary Block Berge Bygg have worked on the project since

June 2017. Additionally, DNF AS has participated as technical contractor for the

entire development phase. Now we're looking forward to starting the next stage,

which is detailed project engineering and then the actual construction of an

attractive building that is to be completed in Brønnøysund in the summer of
