Veidekke ASA: To build environmentally friendly commercial building for Entra in Oslo city centre

Veidekke has been commissioned by Entra to build a high-quality commercial

building with offices, retail, services and hospitality across 10 storeys at

Tullinløkka. The project has strong environmental ambitions and will achieve

environmental certification. The value of the contract is approx. NOK 625

million excluding VAT.

Universitetsgaten 7 will be a new and forward-looking office and commercial

building with a floor area of just above 21,000 m2. The building complex is

organised into three parts with outward-oriented businesses at street level that

will contribute to life and activity in the area. From the third to the tenth

floor there will be offices, where the Hjort law firm will be among the tenants.

A new passage will link the building to the adjacent new Faulty of Law that

Veidekke is building for Entra.

The environment and sustainability are key to the project, which will be

certified in accordance with the BREEAM-NOR class Excellent standard, passive

house and energy class A. The building's foundation will be steel core piles on

rock and the shell will be erected from prefabricated steel and concrete. The

material choice for the facades is a combination of glass, aluminium and a

light/gilded natural stone cladding.

Construction work is planned to start at the end of January 2019, and the

project is scheduled for completion in August 2021.
