Veidekke ASA: To build the third stage for Thon in Lørenskog

Veidekke Entreprenør has been awarded the contract to build the residential

project Dr. Wendts hage close to Triaden Lørenskog Storsenter. The 51 apartments

are the third residential project Veidekke is building for Thongård AS in the

area. This will be a turnkey contract valued at NOK 97.5 million, excluding VAT.

"The 51 apartments are in two seven storey buildings on top of a common parking

basement and commercial space. There will be lifts directly to the apartments,

and these range in size from 45 m(2) and one bedroom to spacious 3 bedroom

apartments 135 m(2) in size with a 50 m(2) roof terrace. The sale of the flats

is well under way, and building is expected to start in Q1 2016," says head of

department Odd Arne Lian of Veidekke.

The project is a part of Skårer Vest subsection 7, which is a major development

with lawns, plants, paths, playgrounds and parks. The project is centrally

located in Lørenskog, 15 minutes from downtown Oslo and less than 10 minutes

from Lillestrøm. When the Dr. Wendts hage project is finished, Veidekke will

have built eight buildings with 286 apartments under three contracts for

Thongård AS, at an overall value of half a billion kroner, since the summer of

The two buildings will have pile foundations directly on bedrock. There has been

particular emphasis on using high quality contemporary materials both inside and

outside. The buildings will be built in prefabricated concrete and steel with

façades of brick, wood and glass/windows.
