Change of management at Veidekke Bygg Bergen

Thor Småbrekke will be taking over from Erlend Bygness as the Regional Manager

of Veidekke Bygg Bergen on 1 March. Småbrekke has played a key role in the

development of Constructa Entreprenør and he is now taking over responsibility

in Bergen following Veidekke's acquisition of Constructa was formalised in

November 2022. Erlend Bygnes will continue to work for Veidekke in a new

capacity.

"I'm very pleased that both Thor and Erlend are taking on exciting new roles at

Veidekke Bygg Bergen. Erlend has made it clear that, after 30 years in various

management positions at Veidekke in Bergen, he would now like to be more

involved in operational work with customers and project development, something

for which he has considerable previous experience. At the same time, we will

have a great, highly experienced manager in Thor as our new Regional Manager,"

says the Director of Veidekke Bygg Vest, Ingmar Austevoll.

Veidekke completed its acquisition of Constructa in November 2022 and the two

companies complement each other in several areas. Their services are now being

extended to customers and partners as a larger unit with increased expertise and

implementation capacity. With the appointment of a new manager, work on the

merger between the two companies will now continue during the run-up to the

summer of 2023.

that we are bringing Constructa and Veidekke under the Veidekke name we know

Manager at Veidekke Bygg Bergen.

Veidekke Bygg Bergen will have around 350 employees with an annual turnover of

approx. NOK 1.8 billion. Both companies have their own strong production

operations and invest in their own skilled workers, with just under 200 of their

employees being dedicated skilled workers.

"It's the right time for me to go back to working with customers and project

development. I've had an amazing time as the head of a fantastic organisation

with great, knowledgeable people. I'm now handing over the baton with pleasure

to an experienced manager like Thor, who I am sure will make Veidekke Bygg

Bergen an even stronger and more attractive unit," says Erlend Bygnes.

Veidekke is one of Scandinavia's largest contractors. In addition to undertaking

all types of building and civil engineering assignments, the group also

maintains roads and produces asphalt and aggregates. Veidekke emphasises
