VECTION LAUNCHES CAD XR BREAKTHROUGH AT THE CES[®] 2021

Real-time software company Vection Technologies Ltd ( ASX:VR1 ) ( Vection Technologies , Vection or the Company ) is pleased to announce the launch of an innovative Augmented and Mixed reality ( XR ) interface for Computer Aided Design ( CAD ) software released with the latest Mindesk Suite 2021, during the most influential tech event in the world, the CES[®] 2021.

CES[®] 2021, The World’s Biggest Annual Consumer Electronics Show

Vection Technologies will be officially launching its breakthrough Mindesk release at the world’s biggest annual consumer electronics show, the CES[®] 2021, an all-digital experience where the biggest names in the industry will be sharing their latest and greatest innovations online via the organisers media hub.

CES[®] 2021 will officially take place from Monday 11[th] to Thursday 14[th] January 2021, with a kick off on Monday at 11:30pm GMT with an opening keynote by Verizon's chairman and CEO, Hans Vestberg, on "5G as the framework of the 21st century, the essential tech of the present and accelerated tech of the future to move our global community forward, such as telemedicine, tele-education and more".

Mindesk 2021, The CAD XR Breakthrough

Mindesk’s Live Link, available in current commercial releases, already enables the use of CAD software in a Virtual Reality environment without the need for programming skills or lengthy export and configuration processes.

Mindesk’s latest release extends this platform with the integration of Microsoft Hololens 2, Varjo XR1 and Varjo XR3. This new interface introduces an unprecedented paradigm shift in CAD, enabling engineers and designers to expand their 2D monitor into the surrounding space in XR. With Mindesk, users can place a virtual hologram of their model next to their pc workstation, interacting with the CAD scene through mouse and keyboard or a 6DOF XR controller, as well as seamlessly jump from the 2D monitor to the hologram.

The Mindesk XR solution provides the most advanced digital work environment for CAD professionals who need to be fast and efficient in their work. The additional volumetric window offers a new point of view that allows the user to fully grasp complex 3D assemblies, simulations, or point clouds. The direct link to well established software like Rhinoceros and Solidworks and the preserved use of traditional I/O (i.e. the mouse and keyboard) in a XR environment allow enterprises to disrupt their existing workflows with a breakthrough solution for broader transformative digitalisation.
