Director/PDMR Transaction - Initial Notification

On 2 May 2018, the Company was notified that on 2 May 2018 SG Kleinwort Hambros Trust Company (CI) Limited, as trustees of the Provident Financial plc 2007 Employee Benefit Trust, transferred the beneficial interest in 3,383 ordinary shares of 20 8/11p in the capital of the Company for no consideration to Richard King, who is a person discharging managerial responsibility ("PDMR") in the Company, in satisfaction of an additional award granted on 1 May 2018 subject to and in accordance with the terms of the Provident Financial Long Term Incentive Scheme 2015 (the "LTIS Awards"). This additional award was granted to correct an error made when granting the previous award made on 16 April 2018 and is an exceptional circumstance.
