Appointment of Group General Counsel and Company Secretary
Provident Financial plc (the 'Company') is pleased to announce the appointment of Charley Davies (formerly Taggart), who will take over the role of Group General Counsel and Company Secretary on 1 April 2019.
After more than 11 years as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, Ken Mullen has decided to retire from the Company and will step down from this role with effect from 31 March 2019.
Malcolm Le May, Chief Executive Officer, Provident Financial plc said:
"Charley joins us from Cabot Credit Management where she was General Counsel and Company Secretary. She brings a wealth of experience in the financial services sector and has legal experience in corporate, commercial, risk management, regulatory and governance advice. She'll be a great addition to our Group Executive team.
On behalf of the Board, I would like to express our gratitude to Ken for his significant contribution to the Company over his years of service. Most recently, Ken played a leading role as we stabilised the business following the events of 2017 and completed the rights issue in April 2018."
