Sakari Ruotsalainen has been President of Metso Automation's Process Automation Systems Business Line since December 2007. Prior to that he worked between 1996 and 2007 for Tieto Corporation, where he held, among others, the positions of Senior Vice President of the Forest Business Unit (2001 – 2007) and Vice President of the Mill Systems Business Unit (1999 – 2001). Sakari Ruotsalainen held various managerial positions at Procons Ltd and Valmet Automation between 1986 and 1995. He has been based in Switzerland and Germany for several years. Earlier Sakari Ruotsalainen worked in IT and project management positions in Finnish

companies. Sakari Ruotsalainen holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
