UZIN ist somit eines der ersten europäischen Unternehmen der Spezialchemie, das in China signifikante Aktivitäten aufbaut. Gemeinsam mit dem lokalen, in einer verwandten Branche tätigen Partner Shanghai Shenzhen Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, der in China bereits über eine sehr starke Vertriebsorganisation verfügt sowie einer deutschen Beteiligungsgesellschaft wird UZIN ein Werk zur Herstellung von Bodenbelagsklebstoffen, Spachtelmassen und Fliesenklebern für den Baubereich errichten. UZIN und die deutsche Beteiligungsgesellschaft halten dabei die Kapitalmehrheit. Das neue Joint Venture wird seinen Sitz in Shanghai haben und mit der Produktion im zweiten Halbjahr 2000 starten. Die Anlage verfügt in der ersten Ausbaustufe über eine Jahreskapazität von 10.000 Tonnen. UZIN rechnet bereits im ersten Geschäftsjahr mit positiven Ergebnissen. UZIN UTZ AG establishes Joint Venture in China UZIN UTZ AG Ulm, one of the leading European suppliers of special chemical products for the building industry, has established a Joint Venture in China. UZIN is thus one of the first European special chemical product concerns to become significantly active in China. Together with a local company, the Shanghai Shenzhen Enterprise Development Co. Ltd., which is active in a related branch of industry and already has a highly developed sales and distribution organisation, and a German holding company, UZIN will build a factory for the production of adhesives for floor coverings, primer and tile adhesives for the building trade. UZIN and the German holding company will have the majority shareholding. This new Joint Venture will be located in Shanghai and begin production in the second half of the year 2000. In the first phase of development the plant will have an annual capacity of 10,000 tons. UZIN expects positive results as early as the first year of operations. Ende der Mitteilung
