USU Software AG: USU Valuemation in use at two new customers of a&o systems
USU Software AG / Contract
Release of a Corporate News, transmitted by DGAP - a company of EquityStory
AG.
The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement.
On the basis of its ASP model, a&o systems + services germany takes over
extensive IT services for newspaper group Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung
(WAZ) and material group Saint Gobain. The manifold requirements of the new
customers apply e.g. to administration and management of heterogeneously
distributed IT inventory, the technical customer service or network
management. a&o systems uses the product suite Valuemation of software
company USU for these modular services in their own data centre in
Frankfurt/Germany. USU standard solutions are employed for IT asset and IT
service management as well as for contracts, software licenses and
procurement. Applications consolidate all commercial and technical
information in a common database in a client-compatible way.
The singular components support ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library), the de
facto standard for structuring all IT operation processes. Additionally,
all other process and role models can be adapted. Thereby the use of
respective IT resources and performances is possible in a flexible and
high-grade standardised manner. Customers benefit from guaranteed service
level agreements and transparent, calculable costs. In the final stage of
expansion, a&o manages 9,000 IT systems at Saint Gobain and 4,000 systems
at WAZ.
For a&o, who traded under the name of EDS GFS until the start of 2007,
Valuemation is the strategic platform for IT lifecycle management.
Competences in business sectors and processes supplement the offered
overall solution as value added service.

For example KnowledgeMiner. As an integrated research and navigation system
