The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Openshop Group: Sales climb more than 300% in fiscal year 2000 on increased loss of 90% Neu-Ulm, March 2, 2001 – Based on interim figures, Openshop Holding AG, Neu- Ulm, announced that the Openshop Group increased sales in fiscal year 2000 by over 300 % to EUR 6.6 million (previous year: EUR 1.6 million) compared to the same period in the year before, thus beating internal sales targets. Due to planned investments as part of a strategy enhancement agreed on in the 4th quarter, the loss grew over the whole fiscal year by around 90 % to EUR 9.9 million (previous year: EUR 5.2 million). The current difficult market situation will probably lead to a decline in sales in the first quarter of 2001. To be able to continue to respond quickly to this new set of challenges presented by the eBusiness market, the Board has already taken appropriate steps in the new fiscal year 2001 that will lead to additional enhancements to the product and service portfolio. This requires still further investments to be made. However, for fiscal year 2001 as a whole a significant increase in sales is once again expected.
