Sub.: Intimation under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (“Listing Regulations”)

We refer to our intimation dated 14[th] August 2023, wherein the Company had disclosed regarding a demand from the District Mining Officer, Chaibasa, Jharkhand amounting to Rs. 28.47 crore for excess production of iron-ore during the years 2006 – 2007 and 2007 – 2008 and subsequent filing of a Writ Petition before Hon’ble High Court of Jharkhand challenging the said demand. After filling of the aforementioned Writ Petition and while the same was pending for hearing, the Company deposited Rs.19.38 Crore under protest in 2018 – 19.

In this connection, we would like to update that the Division Bench of Hon’ble High Court of Jharkhand passed an order on 4[th] March, 2025, setting aside the aforementioned demand notice and directed the State Government of Jharkhand to refund the amount of Rs. 19.38 Crore earlier deposited under protest by the Company along with 7% interest per annum since the date of deposit.

A copy of the Order of Hon’ble High Court of Jharkhand was made available on its website today which came to the knowledge of the Company at around 03:42 pm.

Relevant details as required under Regulation 30 of Listing Regulations are as below:

	Details of any change in the status and / or any development in relation to such proceedings.	The Division Bench of Hon’ble High Court of Jharkhand has passed an order on 4thMarch, 2025, setting aside the aforementioned demand notice and directed the State Government of Jharkhand to refund the amount of Rs. 19.38 Crore earlier deposited under protest by the Company along with 7% interest per annum since the date of deposit. The Company will accordingly lodge its claim for refund of the amount along with interest as mentioned in the aforesaid Order.
