United Labels achieves revenue growth in Key Account segment with High School Musical and The Peanuts
United Labels AG / Quarter Results

Münster, November 10, 2008 – United Labels AG (ISIN: DE 0005489561), a
company specialising in comicware sold under licence, achieved consolidated
revenue growth of 6% in the first nine months of 2008, taking this figure
to EUR 30.5 million (prev. year: EUR 28.2 million). EBIT amounted to EUR
0.2 million (prev. year: EUR 0.4 million).
Revenue growth was attributable mainly to positive developments within the
Key Account segment. In this segment Group revenue rose by 8% to EUR 21
million (prev. year: EUR 20 million).
In this area, High School Musical and The Peanuts proved to be the most
successful licence themes.
Additionally, House of Trends europe GmbH, a new subsidiary established in
August 2007, contributed to growth with sales of EUR 1.8 million.
The Special Retail segment generated revenue of EUR 9.2 million in the
first nine months (prev. year: EUR 9.1 million). The segment result rose by
14% to EUR 0.5 million.
Business developed well for the foreign subsidiaries, particularly those
based in Belgium and Italy. While sales revenue in Belgium rose by 32% to
EUR 2.5 million, Italy was able to lift revenue by 28% to EUR 1.1 million.
