Münster, 08/08/2007 – United Labels AG (ISIN: DE 0005489561), a company
specialising in comicware sold under licence, recorded a particularly
strong performance within its Special Retail segment in the first six
months of the financial year. Segment revenue rose by 19% to EUR 6.3
million (prev. year: EUR 5.3 million). Correspondingly, the segment result
improved to EUR 0.5 million (prev. year: EUR -0.4 million). The positive
performance was attributable in particular to the licence theme 'Die wilden
Kerle'.

Business within the Key Account segment was more restrained. In this area,
revenue totalled EUR 12.4 million (prev. year: EUR 14.8 million), while the
segment result stood at EUR 1.9 million (prev. year: EUR 2.6 million).
Within this context, one-off promotional business in Germany fell
considerably short of expectations. By contrast, revenue and earnings
generated by the subsidiaries in Spain, France, England and the Benelux
region exceeded last year's figures.

Thus, consolidated revenue totalled EUR 18.7 million in the first six
months (prev. year: EUR 20.1 million). EBIT amounted to EUR 0.2 million
(prev. year: EUR 0.4 million). At EUR -0.1 million, the consolidated net
result remained unchanged year on year.

Order intake increased by 13% to EUR 12.7 million in the second quarter
(prev. year: EUR 11.2 million). At EUR 18.8 million, the order backlog was
25% up on last year's figure (prev. year: EUR 15.0 million).
