STREAMLINING THE INSURANCE BUSINESS: PURCHASE OF THE SHAREHOLDING IN ARCA VITA HELD BY UNIPOL GRUPPO
Bologna, 7 August 2018
With respect to the Unipol Group's insurance business streamlining project referred to in previous press releases, with the most recent dating to 22 March last, and also set out in the information document on transactions of greater significance with related parties published on 29 March 2018, on today's date, having previously obtained authorisation from the Supervisory Authorities, UnipolSai Assicurazioni S.p.A. finalised the purchase of the controlling interest, amounting to 63.39%, held by Unipol Gruppo S.p.A. in the share capital of Arca Vita S.p.A., which, in turn, controls Arca Vita International DAC e Arca Assicurazioni S.p.A. among others.

UnipolSai Assicurazioni S.p.A. is the insurance company of the Unipol Group, Italian leader in Non-Life Business, in particular in vehicle liability insurance. Also active in Life Business, UnipolSai has a portfolio of over 10 million customers and holds a leading position in the national ranking of insurance groups with a direct income amounting to approximately €11.1bn, of which €7.4bn in Non-Life Business and €3.7bn in Life Business (2017 figures).
