Major Feature Update, ‘Threding Without Thred” deployed
One of the principal propositions in Thred’s feature set is now complete. This core feature empowers Thred users to communicate with their contacts in Connected Accounts (Facebook, Google, Twitter, O365 & Phone) and message with them, without the recipient needing to download Thred.
Implementation of this feature presented unforeseen technical challenges that we are pleased to state have been worked through and solved by the new Product team in Sydney. Updates to the iOS, Android and Web versions of Thred were delivered last week via app updates.
This is a major achievement and update to the Thred platform and enables Thred users to quickly and intuitively connect their aggregated directory of Connected Accounts in a unique way.
Thred app users will be able to communicate and collaborate with anyone in their contact directory in a guest chat environment without the receiving party needing to download Thred, thus facilitating the cross-platform messaging proposition. Following test marketing, Thred will determine the best method for enticing the receiving contacts with a call to action to download the Thred native app.
We are ready to leverage the large and growing database of user contacts derived from existing and new downloads, which is still averaging 470 user contacts per download.
The diagrams overleaf illustrate the new sequential user flow designs that are incorporated into the new release.

Continuous Bug Fixes and Feature Enhancements are a Priority
Bug fixes and feature enhancements are a priority for us as we strive to deliver an app that delivers a top-tier user experience. The new Product and Tech teams have established the remaining feature enhancements to deliver further and increased functionality.
The completion of this work will establish a foundation for the Thred app to enable significant upcoming features on our product roadmap. The team is confident it has identified pertinent, remaining features and enhancements that we envisaged at launch and plans to finalise these in the coming weeks.
User Acquisition Now Commenced
The successful deployment of the ‘Threding without Thred’ feature was the go-ahead for the team to commence ‘go-to market’ actions, which consists of cross channel, optimised digital marketing and social media campaigns, including

Facebook, Instagram and Google SEM and Display ads. These campaigns began in the middle of last week across different ad networks and among specific audience segments that have shown to respond positively to the Thred app.
As further enhancements are deployed over the near-term, marketing campaigns will be aligned to ensure that users are expressly informed about these changes, providing us with the ability to learn from users about what they liked and didn’t like, etc.
The ‘threding without thred’ feature is primed to underpin the virality of our user acquisition and growth. We expect downloads to now significantly increase, with further acceleration of downloads as added features & enhancements are deployed.
Summary
Thred has intentionally aligned its Product, Technology and Marketing resources to focus on two product development streams. Stream One focuses on the continuing improvements to Thred and the Microsoft Add-in. Starting this week, technology development and product enhancements will be undertaken by the in-house team in Sydney resulting in a significant reduction to cash burn and acceleration of development efforts.

Stream Two will focus on the new features and enhancements that Thred foreshadowed in the previous announcement. This approach allows Thred to simultaneously deliver improvements to the existing platform while progressing new and engaging attributes that it is fast-tracking to enhance the user experience, especially in the user Acquisition and Activation areas.
Once Thred has progressed the second stream to a demonstrable stage, it will present these features to the Market via announcements and roadshows.
The Thred team have crafted a clear and assertive timetable to deliver the intended Thred features and value propositions as quickly as possible. Moving forward, Thred aims to update the market fortnightly with progress on the rapid completion of enhancements and growth in User Acquisition. The new in-house team have already conceived and are now testing new and more compelling features that we believe will set Thred apart from market peers.
