UniCredit ottiene la sua seconda 'singola A' grazie al miglioramento del rating emittente da parte di Standard & Poor's ad A-, un gradino al di sopra del sovrano
L'agenzia di rating Standard & Poor's ("S&P") ha oggi alzato di un notch il rating di credito dell'emittente ('ICR') e il rating Senior Preferred di UniCredit SpA ad "A-" e ha assegnato un outlook stabile.
Si tratta del secondo upgrade da parte di S&P quest'anno e il rating di UniCredit è ora di un notch al di sopra del rating sovrano italiano.
Secondo S&P, UniCredit ha rafforzato il proprio profilo operativo e finanziario e la sua dotazione di debito subordinato, meritando un rating implicito di "A", limitato ad "A-", un notch al di sopra del rating sovrano. La banca beneficia di una forte diversificazione geografica, di una solida redditività, di una buona qualità degli attivi e di un'ampia liquidità.
Il profilo di credito autonomo è stato aggiornato ad "a-", mentre i rating di controparte a lungo e breve termine sono stati aggiornati rispettivamente ad "A" e "A-1".
Il rating di credito dell'emittente a breve termine è stato confermato a "A-2".

UniCredit receives its second single-A rating as S&P upgrades the issuer rating to A-, one notch above the sovereign
The rating agency Standard & Poor's ("S&P") has today upgraded UniCredit SpA's Issuer Credit Rating ("ICR") and Senior Preferred rating by one notch to 'A-' and assigned a Stable outlook.
This is the second upgrade by S&P this year and the rating has now been improved to one notch above the Italian sovereign.
In S&P's view, UniCredit has strengthened its business and financial profile and its buffer of bail-inable subordinated debt, leading to an 'A' "underlying" rating capped at 'A-', one notch above the sovereign. The bank benefits from a strong geographically diversified franchise, robust profitability, sound asset quality and ample liquidity.
The Stand-Alone Credit Profile has been upgraded to 'a-', while Long- and Short-Term Resolution Counterparty Ratings have been upgraded to 'A' and 'A-1', respectively.
The Short-Term Issuer Credit Rating has been affirmed at 'A-2'.
