Umicore outlines growth ambitions as part of Horizon 2020 strategy

Umicore will today host a capital markets day in London where it will outline its growth ambitions for the coming five years. Horizon 2020 is a continuation of Umicore's strategy of growth built on three megatrends: resource scarcity, tightening emission norms and electrified transportation. During the session, CEO Marc Grynberg, along with other members of the senior management, will explain the uniqueness of Umicore and its strategy to generate value. Key elements include:

• Umicore's potential to double earnings from the 2014 base
• Umicore's prospects and unique positioning in the three businesses that have the most significant growth potential – Precious Metals Refining, Rechargeable Battery Materials and Automotive Catalysts
• Umicore's research & development efforts to support these Horizon 2020 ambitions
• Umicore's financial structure and approach to value creation
