Op 19 juli, heeft FIL Limited (Fidelity International), met adres op PO Box HM 670, Hamilton HMCX, Bermuda, de FSMA en Umicore te kennen gegeven dat zij op 17 juli 2012 de statutaire drempel van 5% heeft overschreden, en op dat ogenblik 4,91% van Umicore's aandelen en stemrechten bezat.

De aandelen toegeschreven aan FIL Limited komen voort uit verschillende fondsen voor collectieve belegging die beheerd worden door FIL Limited, FIL Investment Services Limited, Fidelity Investments Japan, FIL Investments Advisory (Korea) Ltd en FIL Investment Management (Hong Kong) Limited. Deze entiteiten zijn filialen van, of worden gecontroleerd door FIL Limited. Deze fondsen voor collectieve belegging hebben FIL Limited het discretionair recht toegekend het stemrecht van aandelen uit te oefenen in overeenstemming met het beleid van de Raad van Bestuur van FIL Limited inzake stemmen per volmacht. FIL Limited is een niet gecontroleerde onderneming.
