Dortmund, June 28, 2012

The CEO of CFC Industriebeteiligungen AG (ISIN: DE000A0LBKW6), Dortmund,
announces that pursuant to § 92 Abs. 1 AktG a loss of half the share
capital occured. This loss is caused by allowances related to the
investment Berndes. Heinrich Berndes Haushaltstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, the
main operating company of the Berndes group, Heinrich Berndes
Haushaltstechnik Verwaltungs GmbH, and Berndes Beteiligungs GmbH have a
high risk of insolvency.

The extraordinary General Meeting that has to take place pursuant to
§ 92 par. 1 AktG is presumably scheduled for August. In this meeting, the
CEO will announce the loss of half the share capital pursuant to § 92
par. 1 AktG and outline the situation of the company. The shareholders will
be provided with an invitation to the extraordinary General Meeting timely
and duly. The Annual General Meeting, originally planned for August 17th,
2012 in Dortmund, will be postponed.

In addition, the CEO announces that CFC will not publish its annual and
consolidated financial statements on June 29th, 2012, as a result of the
aforementioned developments.

Furthermore, the divestment activities with regard to the electronics
segment of the group, which is not at all affected by these developments,
are halted until further notice. The CEO will outline the reasons for this
development by means of a Corporate News to the firm's shareholders in the
course of this week.
