Aktiengesellschaft placed Munich, 1st August 2001 The capital increase from the approved capital II/1999, which had been registered but not yet carried out because of the declining situation on the stock markets, was placed at the beginning of the current week with institutional investors on the basis of the current exchange-rate level. Altogether there were 708,611 new individual bearer share certificates, which have the same rights with regard to dividends and endowment as those shares that are currently listed under the securities identification number 701200, and which shall receive the same securities identification number. The capital stock is 7,910,000 Euros. Due to the inflow of funds and the improved cash-position, U.C.A. will be investing in new companies in the fields of Engineering Technology and New Materials. In this way the current moderate evaluation level of interesting investment targets, suits U.C.A. fine.
