Directorate change

Tyman plc, a leading international supplier of components to the door and window industry, announces that Kirsten English will step down from the Group Board of Directors (the "Board") on 1 October 2016.

Kirsten English joined the Board as an independent Non-executive Director in April 2015 and has served as a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. Following her recent appointment as CEO of Style Research Limited, Kirsten has reluctantly decided that it is no longer possible to provide the necessary time commitment to fulfil her duties as a Non-executive Director of the Company.

The Nomination Committee, chaired by Jamie Pike, will begin the process of recruiting a new independent Non-executive Director, taking into account current best practice and, in particular, board diversity. 

Jamie Pike, Tyman's Chairman, commented:

"On behalf of the Directors I would like to thank Kirsten for the contribution she has made to the Board and I wish her well in her new role."

In accordance with paragraph LR 9.6.11R of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are no further details to be disclosed.
