Şişecam Topluluğu, sahip olduğu üstün Ar Ge kabiliyeti ve üretimden gelen gücünü birleştirerek, dünyada çok önemli bir ilke imza atmıştır. Grup cam yüzeylerdeki virüs ve bakterileri etkisiz hale getiren özel bir kaplama teknolojisi geliştirmiştir.

Sağlığa zararlı organizmaların camın yüzeyinde barınmalarına engel olan ve yüzde yüz yerli Antimikrobiyal VBlock Teknolojisi kapsamında formül ve uygulama yöntemine ilişkin laboratuvar testlerinin tamamlanmasının ardından, patent başvuru süreci tamamlanmıştır. Ön bulgularda koronavirüs ve diğer virüsler üzerinde de etkili olduğu belirlenen bu özel teknolojinin devam etmekte olan ruhsatlandırma ve gerekli resmi izin süreçlerinin de tamamlanmasının ardından öncelikle cam ev eşyası ürünlerine uygulanması ve yurtiçi pazarda satışa sunulması planlanmaktadır. Ürünlerini 150 den fazla ülkede müşterileriyle buluşturan Şişecam Topluluğu katma değerli bu ürünlerini de tüm dünya pazarlarına ulaştırılmayı hedeflemektedir. Önümüzdeki dönemde bu teknolojinin cam ambalaj, mimari camlar ve beyaz eşya camlarına da uygulanması planlanmaktadır.

Şişecam Group has broken a new ground by combining its superior RD capability and the strength it derives from industrial production. The Group has developed a special coating technology that neutralizes viruses and bacteria on glass surfaces.

The patent application was filed upon the completion of the laboratory tests related to the formula and implementation technique of the 100% domestic Antimicrobial VBlock Technology preventing harmful organisms from sheltering on glass surfaces. This special technology, which has also been identified to be effective against the coronavirus and other viruses according to preliminary findings, is planned to be initially applied to glassware products and sold in the domestic market, following the registration and the required official permit procedures. Bringing together its products and its customers in more than 150 countries, Şişecam Group aims to export those value added products to global markets and has further plans to implement this technology in glass packaging, architectural glass and glass for home appliances.
