Turbon AG - Interim Report 1. Quarter 2009
Consolidated Turbon Group sales in Q1 2009 amounting to Euro 24.1 million
were lower than in Q1 2008 (Euro 27.0 million) but in line with
expectations. Also in line with expectation were the increased earnings
figures: Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were Euro 1.6 million
(previous year Euro 1.5 million), income from ordinary operations was Euro
1.4 million (previous year Euro 1.1 million) and consolidated net income
was Euro 1.0 million (previous year Euro 0.9 million). Earnings per share
calculated based on the average number of shares outstanding were Euro 0.28
(previous year Euro 0.25). Due to the negative effect of the decline and
ultimately cease of sales to our major customer Staples/ Corporate Express
(please see separate announcements and annual report 2008) from second half
of 2009 we expect for the whole year of 2009 consolidated sales of Euro
80.0 million. As a result of successfully conducted cost cutting measures
we however expect earnings figures on 2008 level. The complete interim
