Turbon AG – Figures for nine months
Consolidated sales in the first nine months of 2007 were Euro 93.6 million
compared to Euro 96.4 million in the first half of 2006. The decrease was
mainly due to negative foreign currency effects resulting from the
consolidation of sales (Euro 2.4 million). Sales of our core business of
laser cartridges have continued to grow. Sales of laser cartridges were
Euro 77.4 million (previous year: Euro 70.7 million). This represents a
rise of Euro 6.7 million or 9.5% (in local currencies 12.2%). Sales of
other products totaled Euro 16.2 million (previous year: Euro 25.7
million). The allocation of sales is as follows: The core business laser
cartridges accounted for 82.7% (previous year: 73.3%) of total sales. Other
products accounted for 17.3% (previous year: 26.7%). EBIT (earnings before
interest and taxes) for the first nine months of 2007 were Euro 1.8 million
(previous year: Euro 1.3 million), result from ordinary operations was
Euro 0.3 million (previous year: Euro 0.4 million) and consolidated net
result was Euro -0.2 million (previous year: Euro -2.1 million; this
previous year’s value includes the provisions for restructuring measures of
Euro 2.4 million). Results per share on the basis of the average share
portfolio were calculated at Euro -0.04 (previous year: Euro -0.52). The
cost cutting measures taken over the past months are showing good results
and the positive development will continue. We expect an again growing
profit for the fourth quarter, which will lead to an improved result for
