Sub:- Clarification by Trident Ltd with reference to the media report dated October 17, 2023

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Pursuant to above captioned subject and Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, we hereby inform you that the Income Tax Department is conducting a search at premises/ plants of the Company, since yesterday (i.e October 17, 2023). The officials of the Company are fully cooperating with the Income Tax Department and are responding to the queries raised by them.

In this regard, please find below point wise reply against queries raised by NSE:

1. Whether such event is taking place? If so, you are advised to provide the said information along with the sequence of events in chronological order from the start of event till date.

Company Response - Yes, the Income Tax Department is conducting a search at premises/ plants related to the Company, since yesterday (i.e October 17, 2023). There is no other information available with the Company at this point of time.

2. Whether you/company are aware of any information that has not been announced to the Exchanges which could explain the movement in the trading, if any? Further, you are advised to provide the said information and the reasons for not disclosing the same to the Exchange earlier as required under regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015

Company Response - The Company has been consistently complying with the provisions of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 and making requisite disclosures in a timely manner and will continue to do so in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The entire IT assets of all the senior officials including the undersigned are under the control of Income Tax Department since yesterday, for scrutiny, and we are immediately filing this disclosure upon obtaining the necessary approvals from the Income Tax Department officials to access the IT asset of the undersigned for the said filing.

Hence it may be please taken note that the delay in filing this disclosure is purely by virtue of the Law.

We reiterate that Trident Limited is an ethical and law-abiding Company and it follows the best corporate governance practices. We are extending our full cooperation to the officials of the Income Tax Department in this regard.

3. The material impact of this article on the Company.

Company Response - Once the search by the Income Tax Department concludes, the Company will promptly update the Stock Exchanges in case of any material information/ event.
