Explanatory Note

This Amendment No. 1 to Trex Company, Inc.’s Current Report on Form 8-K is furnished to include a transcript of the earnings conference call held on October 31, 2022.

Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On October 31, 2022, Trex Company, Inc. (Company) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the quarterly period ended September 30, 2022, as previously furnished. Also, on October 31, 2022, the Company held a conference call to discuss financial and operating results. A transcript of the conference call is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2.
