Trelleborg strengthens its leading position within seals Acquires Italian company with sales of SEK 90 M
Through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area, Trelleborg has entered into an agreement to acquire the privately owned Italian company Officine Meccaniche GNL SpA, with approximately 60 employees and sales of about SEK 90 M.
"GNL strengthens Trelleborg's leading global position in the area of specialty seals for heavy-duty applications, i.e seals for the construction industry, mining industry and agricultural machinery, and will benefit from our worldwide marketing organization", says Claus Barsöe, Business Area President of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.
Officine Meccaniche GNL SpA has its head office and production unit in Modena, Italy. The operations will be integrated in the business area Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.
The completion of the acquisition of Officine Meccaniche GNL SpA is expected to occur during the second quarter of 2008.
