New Managing Director to lead Beringer Brand Portfolio
Today Treasury Wine Estates Limited (ASX: TWE) confirmed the appointment of Mr John Grant to the role of Managing Director, Beringer Brand Business Unit. Mr Grant replaces Stephen Brauer who left the company last month.
Based in Napa, California Mr Grant’s appointment is effective immediately, and he will report directly to Treasury Wine Estates CEO, David Dearie.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Grant was the Vice President, Global Brand Director Beringer where he was responsible for global brand development and marketing.
Mr Grant brings to Treasury Wine Estates more than two decades of experience in the wine and beverages industry. He has previously held the role of President, Constellation Wines Australia, and a variety of senior leadership roles, including positions at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates and Lion Nathan.
In his new role, Mr Grant will be responsible for setting the global strategic direction of the Beringer Brand Business Unit, with a clear focus on driving the profitable growth of Beringer and other regional champions, including Chateau St Jean, Etude, Stags’ Leap, Be. and Castello di Gabbiano (Italy).
Treasury Wine Estates CEO, David Dearie, commented: “I am delighted to confirm John Grant’s appointment as the new Managing Director of the Beringer Brand Business Unit, and am especially pleased that we have been able to promote an internal candidate to fill this role.”
