11.Additional information xvi The College Retirement Equities Fund ("CREF") hereby informs you that on November 1, 2018, CREF purchased 70,698 shares of Travis Perkins Plc bringing

its total ownership to 2,107,582 or 0.836% of Travis Perkins Plc. CREF owns these shares through three of its investment accounts: the Global Equities Account, the StockAccount and the Social ChoiceAccount. It is our understanding the total voting shares outstanding of Travis Perkins Plc is 252,143,923 bringing CREF's voting share ownership in Travis Perkins Plc to a 0.836% level.

For your information, CREF is a U.S. based investment company, which is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). CREF has multiple investment accounts,each with separate investment objectives and policies. Allassets in the accounts are beneficially owned by CREF,and all the accounts are managed by TIAA-CREF Investment Management, LLC("TCIM"),an SECregistered investment adviser.

Additionally, on November 1, 2018 funds managed by an affiliate of CREF bought 325,212 shares of Travis Perkins Plc. This brings the total ownership of these affiliated funds to 8,366,873 voting shares or 3.318% of Travis Perkins Plc. These holdings are owned by mutual funds which are investment portfolios of the TIAA-CREF Funds or the TIAA-CREF Life Funds (collectively, the "Funds"). The Funds are SECregistered investment companies and the Funds are managed by Teachers Advisors, LLC("TAL"),an SECregistered investment adviser that is affiliated with TCIM.

In addition, NuveenAsset Management, LLC("NAM"), is an SECregistered investment adviser that is affiliated with TCIM and TAL, on November 1, 2018, NAM did not buy orsellany shares of Travis Perkins Plc and so its share ownership remains at 1,011 voting shares or 0.000% of Travis Perkins Plc held through the separate accounts that it advises.

Atotal of 10,475,466 or 4.155% of the outstanding voting shares of Travis Perkins Plc are owned, in aggregate, by CREF and these affiliated funds and accounts. TALand TCIM followthe same policies when voting on behalf of CREF and the Funds.Additionally,each of TAL, TCIM and NAM separately and independently vote all proxies forshares held in Travis Perkins Plc. We are therefore aggregating the holdings in Travis Perkins Plc as requested by the current FCA Disclosure and Transparency Rules for purposes of this form.
