COVAU ENERGY SIGNS POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH GOLDWIND’S WHITE ROCK SOLAR FARM

TPC Consolidated Limited (ASX: TPC) (“TPC” or “the Company”) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary CovaU Pty Limited (CovaU Energy) has signed its first power purchase agreement (PPA) with White Rock Solar Farm Pty Ltd (White Rock Solar Farm), a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldwind International Holdings (HK) Limited (Goldwind).

White Rock Solar Farm is a 20 MW solar PV development located adjacent to the northern end of White Rock Wind Farm, 20 kilometers west of Glen Innes and was completed in the second half of 2018. White Rock Solar Farm forms a pioneering hybrid solar/wind renewable energy facility in the New England Tablelands of NSW and powers approximately 8,000 NSW homes each year.

TPC Chief Executive Officer, Charles Huang, said this agreement demonstrated the Company’s commitment and role in supporting renewable energy projects in Australia.

“CovaU Energy is very proud to sign this renewable PPA with White Rock Solar Farm. This agreement adds to securing the delivery of reliable, affordable and cleaner energy for our customers. It also represents a key step in establishing CovaU Energy as one of the fastest growing Australia’s energy retailers. We believe that supporting Australia’s renewable projects is important to the transitioning of the energy market and for a better future.”

John Titchen, Managing Director of Goldwind Australia said the PPA signals a clear commitment from CovaU Energy in supporting Australia’s transition to renewable energy.

“Further to the environmental benefits, the PPA is a demonstration of the value that can be returned through renewable energy investments back to customers, investors, and the local community. We are very pleased, and look forward to a long-term partnership with CovaU Energy on the PPA with White Rock Solar Farm.”

This announcement has been authorised for release by the Board of TPC.

About TPC

Established in 1996, TPC (formerly Tel.Pacific) was a significant participant in the Australian communications market. The Company’s core business centred around its mobile customer acquisition and the development of the MRTM platform (Mobile Real Time Monitoring) which is an intelligent network connected to a leading mobile network. The Company sold its pre-paid phone card business in April 2014, retaining the MRTM platform and a relatively small pre-paid mobile sim business. The Company still has wholesale customers on its MRTM platform.

Having been granted licences by the Australian Energy Regulator and Essential Services of Victoria, the Company through a specially created wholly owned subsidiary, CovaU Pty Limited, entered the electricity and gas business. The services have been rolled out from April 2014, and its focus has been on growth opportunities in the electricity and gas business along with its mobile business. TPC intends to further expand its business activities as part of its long-term growth strategy.

The CovaU energy service focuses on the SME sector and residential consumers.
