AGM statement

TP Group (AIM: TPG), the specialist services and engineering group, will be holding its Annual General Meeting at 10.30am today at the offices of Deloitte LLP, Abbots House, Abbey Street, Reading, West Berkshire RG1 3BD.

At the meeting, Andrew McCree, Non-Executive Chairman of TP Group, will make the following statement:

"I am pleased to report that TP Group is continuing to build upon the excellent progress achieved in 2018.

"So far this year, as previously announced, we have signed a number of major new contract wins, alongside the acquisition of Sapienza Consulting, which forms part of our plan to become a global high-technology business which delivers value to all our stakeholders.

"In our 2018 Annual Report we set out the Group's plan to achieve this. Our focus is on: the competitiveness of our mission-critical systems, the value we can derive from close relationships with our major customers, the acquisition of suitably like-minded businesses around the world and forming partnerships with companies whose capabilities will complement our own. We believe this approach will build upon our origins, underpin our growth and support our ambition to become a truly global Group with strong access to technologies and world-wide markets.

"We have been actively exploring selected acquisitions and partnerships, to complement our organic growth.  Last month we were pleased to announce the acquisition of Sapienza Consulting which improves the Group's access to European markets, the space industry, significant new customers and a range of additional and highly complementary technologies. We have also been building relationships in the United States with leading technology providers and recently announced a licensing agreement with Battelle Inc. of Columbus, Ohio.

"TP Group is now an established business with enhanced international reach, a wide range of advanced technologies and relationships with which we can serve our customers. We have ambitious plans to develop this network and capability.

"I believe the Group is well-positioned to capitalise on the substantial opportunities in our markets in line with our strategic objectives and deliver another good year of progress."
