TIVAN LIMITED — Capital/Financing Update 2004

PLACEMENT

14 July 2004

Tennant Creek Gold Limited (TNG) has completed a placement of 6 million ordinary fully paid shares each at an issue price of 10 cents to raise \$600,000.

The purpose of the capital raising is to fund exploration activities, which have already commenced.

In particular the Company has commenced a pre-feasibility study on the advanced Molyhil molybdenum/tungsten project, including 3,500m of RC drilling, pit dewatering, metallurgical testwork and resource calculations.

The placement shares were allotted today.

The Company intends to rely on the exemption in section 708A(5) of the Corporations Act from the secondary trading provisions contained in section 707(3) of the Corporations Act in relation to the issue of the placement shares.

The Company must issue a section 708A(5)(e) Notice to ASX within 5 business days of the day in which the securities are issued to enable the issue of placement shares to qualify for the exemption contained in section 798A(5).

Accordingly attached to this ASX Announcement is a section 708A(5)(e) Notice.
