The Company owns a portfolio of over 4,000 km[2] of highly prospective exploration tenements for copper in the Northern Territory. Exploration on these licences commenced this Quarter.

TNG recently completed a highly successful geophysical survey using the powerful HELITEM™ helicopter time domain electromagnetic system over some of these projects, with results from the key Mount Hardy Project revealing a cluster of five high priority anomalies – some of which are coincident with existing copper prospects.

The Mount Hardy tenements contain extensive high-grade surface copper mineralisation amongst existing copper prospects with results of up to 20% Cu in association with anomalous gold, silver and lead.

This opens up an exciting new dimension to the Company’s activities, alongside ongoing feasibility work and exploration at the flagship Mount Peake Iron-Vanadium-Titanium Project.

TNG’s Managing Director, Mr Paul Burton, said he welcomed Mr Grey’s appointment to head up the Company’s exploration team as it prepared to ramp up its copper exploration activities.

“The 2012/13 exploration campaign will be a particularly busy and exciting one for TNG, with major programs commencing shortly across our suite of copper exploration assets,” Mr Burton said.

“Kim has extensive experience in exploring for copper, including both porphyry and sediment-hosted copper deposits, and he will be a positive addition to our team as we move forward,” he continued.

“We are looking forward to the increased activity on our copper portfolio and the commencement of our drilling campaign at Mount Hardy in the coming weeks. This should provide a further source of news flow for the Company between now and the end of the year,” Mr Burton said.
