Annual General Meeting statement

At the Annual General Meeting of F W Thorpe Plc, Chairman, Andrew Thorpe, will make the following statement.

"The year just passed has been challenging due to its unusual nature.  The early Spring 2012 lull in orders cast a shadow throughout the rest of the year and despite order input being up almost every further month compared to the preceding year, we were always playing catch up.

Coupled with two poorly performing subsidiaries, now trading profitably, this gave us a difficult task.

As for the current year I am pleased to report that we had no "lull" to contend with and trading is giving us room for confidence."
