TRADING HALT

The securities of Australian Renewable Fuels Limited (the "Company") will be placed in pre-open at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in pre-open until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Monday, 10 April 2006 or when the announcement is released to the market.

RE: TRADING HALT

Australian Renewable Fuels Limited (ASX Code: ARW) hereby requests a trading halt on its quoted securities effective immediately.

• The reason for the request is that Australian Renewable Fuels Limited is undertaking $\bullet$ a share placement transaction and will also provide an update to the market with the placement announcement. In the interests of shareholders and the parties undertaking the placement, the company believes it appropriate for its securities to be placed on trading halt during the course of the placement.
• ARW requests an immediate trading halt be put in place until the earlier of $\bullet$ commencement of trading on Monday 10 April 2006 or the release to the market of the placement transaction and market update. We anticipate such an announcement to be made later today or tomorrow.
• The event to end the trading halt will be the announcement to market of the share $\bullet$ placement and market update.
• The company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
