Re: A Claim and a Motion to Certify the Claim as a Class Action Against The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. (subsidiary) - Immediate ReportNotice is hereby given that a Claim has been filed at the Center District Court against a subsidiary of the Company, The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. ("Phoenix Insurance"), accompanied by a motion to certify the claim as a class action ("Claim").The Claim concerns group health insurance and alleges that Phoenix Insurance does not publish on its website, or otherwise, the price list for doctors covered by the agreement and has not fully reimbursed policyholders for surgery with a non-covered doctor or for a procedure replacing surgery with a non-covered service provider. The total damage claimed for all group members can not be assessed at this stage, however, the plaintiff stated that the estimated damage exceeds a total of NIS 2.5 million. It should be noted that the plaintiff refers in the Claim to two requests for class action approval, which, according to him, have a similar factual background and were filed against another insurance company and concluded in a settlement. At this stage, Phoenix Insurance is studying the details of the lawsuit, and therefore it is not possible to assess the chances of its approval as a class action, and if it is approved, it is not possible to assess its chances of success. false
