Responsible for activities related to developing of new business of the Atterbury Property Group in the European continent, with specific emphasis on the establishment of greenfields development opportunities in the Central and Eastern European region. The group is targeting retail shopping malls of in excess of 30,000 m2 as a core investment strategy. Activities include the identification of development opportunities (bare land or land assembled projects which have not started) as well as the acquisition of existing investment grade real estate assets, which may have a degree of redevelopment or expansion potential. Responsibility includes a continued position as independent non executive Director of MAS Real Estate Inc.
2008-2013
Parallel responsibilities as executive director of Attacq, an (at the time) unlisted public real estate investment company with commercial property assets mainly in South Africa, but also expanding into the rest of the African continent. At the same time; delegated by Attacg to play a role in the establishment of MAS Real Estate Inc. Served on the Board of MAS, representing Attaca's interests, and also serving in the Investment Committee. Stepped off Attacq Board in 2013 in anticipation of the Attacq IPO in order to improve the independence of the Board.
2005 - 2008
Participated as founding director of Attacq Property Fund Limited as well as co-founder of Atterbury Asset Managers (Pty) Ltd, the latter being the contractually appointed asset management company for Attacq Property Fund. Responsibilities included the identification of new investment opportunities for Attacq, adherence to the mandate of the Fund, the oversight of asset management operations and all input and preparations to investment committee meetings for Attacq Property Fund.
Joined Infotech Group in 1998 and was appointed MD in 2000. Infotech is a technology company, specializing in the manufacture and supply of specialized GSM-based tracking technologies. Before 2000, the company was lossmaking, owning outdated technology and the core business was under pressure of total collapse. Taking control of all operational and business development responsibilities, an acquisition and further development of an (at the time) market-leading technology platform was undertaken. As part of a start-up, the technology was acquired for R400,000 in 2001. The technology was re-developed for an
investment of R12,5 million between 2001 to 2004, and the relevant business unit was sold to Tracker in 2005/2006 for ca R170 million, delivering a significant return to shareholders.

Worked on various business re-engieering and systems design and implementation projects for a variety of clients of Andersen Consulting in the logistics and financial sectors.
