Grant and release of shares under the Tesco PLC Performance Share Plan 2011 (the "PSP")
On 14 October 2020, Ken Murphy, Group Chief Executive, was granted an award over 82,614 Ordinary Shares of 5 pence each in the Company under the rules of the PSP. The number of shares awarded have been calculated using a market price of 217.88 pence per share.
The shares have been awarded to compensate Ken on a like for like basis for payments forfeited from his previous employment.
The award vested immediately and 82,614 shares were released to Ken on 14 October 2020. Of these, 38,829 shares have been withheld to cover Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions due on release. The net shares have been transferred to Ken and must be retained under the Company's Shareholding Policy.
The share price on release was 221.5 pence per share.
