Tesco PLC (the "Company") has been notified that Olivia (Liv) Garfield, a non-executive director of the Company, has been appointed as CEO Designate of Severn Trent Plc.  Liv, who is currently CEO of Openreach, part of the BT Group, will take up her new role upon the retirement of Severn Trent's current CEO, Tony Wray, in spring 2014.
