BUSINESS UPDATE THIRD QUARTER 2013

In the third quarter of 2013, the group's turnover is lower than in the same period of 2012.

The turnover in the processed meats division further increased in the third quarter of 2013.

The turnover decrease in the ready meals division over the first semester continued in the third quarter because a number of important contracts were restarted later than expected.

The volume and turnover decrease in the ready meals division and the additional investments in that market in the first nine months of 2013, also result in an operating result for this division that is lower than the result over the same period of 2012. This lower result is only partially offset by the result increase in the processed meats division.

Based on the turnover evolution in the third quarter, the group believes that the formerly announced ambition, i.e. to realize a 2013 result that equals the result of 2012, is difficult to maintain.

• employs approximately 1100 staff.

Ready Meals Division:

• produces fresh ready meals for the European market;
• market leader in chilled lasagne in Europe;
• 2 production sites in Belgium (Wanze and Marche-en-Famenne);
• brand names Come a casa® and Vamos® in addition to distribution brands;
• employs approximately 650 staff;
• joint venture The Pasta Food Company established in Poland (2011).
