Ter Beke appoints Piet Sanders as its new CEO

The board of directors of Ter Beke has appointed Piet Sanders as new CEO for the group.

Piet Sanders is 55 years old, married and father of 2. He is a lawyer by training and started his professional career at Amylum Group, later Tate & Lyle Group, where he rose in no time to the position of Group Sales Director Food, after first having taken up responsibility for sales in Eastern Europe and Northern Europe respectively. After a short period as Chief Sales & Marketing Director at Reynaers Aluminum, he joined Puratos as Regional Sales Director Eastern Europe & Asia Pacific in 2004. In 2014, he became a member of the Group Executive Committee as Managing Director for Northern and Eastern Europe and since 2020 he has been active as Group Channels & Sales Director.

Dirk Goeminne, Executive Chairman Ter Beke: "After the announcement of Francis Kint's departure in early 2021, the Board of Directors started looking for a new CEO for the group. The board took the necessary time to set up a thorough selection procedure lead by its Remuneration and Nomination Committee. The board is therefore convinced that in Piet Sanders she has found the suitable candidate to help shape and further implement Ter Beke's growth strategy. His many years of experience in the food sector at the highest level, his international knowledge of the markets in which Ter Beke is active and his strategy and vision-driven approach ensure a perfect match".

Piet Sanders will start as CEO of the group as of 1 October 2021.
