Oliver Camplin-Warner to succeed David Burns as Group Executive, Telstra Enterprise

Tuesday, 6 February 2024 – Telstra today announced its Group Executive of Telstra Enterprise, David Burns, would be leaving the company at the end of February.

Oliver Camplin-Warner, the Head of Telstra Purple, will be promoted to lead the Enterprise business from 1 March 2024.

Telstra CEO Vicki Brady thanked David for the significant contribution he had made at Telstra over the last 12 years, including his nearly seven years on the CEO Leadership Team, where he ran significant parts of the business.

“In his time leading Telstra Enterprise he further diversified our customer base, reduced our reliance on certain sectors and built deeper capabilities across government, education, transport and health. He also chaired and oversaw the integration of Digicel Pacific and signed the contract to build and manage the ground infrastructure and fibre network in Australia for Viasat,” Ms Brady said.

“Before that David designed and implemented the successful centralisation of many of our corporate services into our Global Business Services function, which he ran for three years and was a critical part of our T22 strategy.”

Ms Brady said Mr Camplin-Warner was well-credentialed to step up and lead Telstra Enterprise.

“Oliver has been an integral part of the Telstra Enterprise leadership team over the last six years and has a deep understanding of its strengths and challenges. He recently returned to Australia to take up the role of Head of Telstra Purple, and before that he led Telstra International for five years where the business grew to represent 10 percent of Telstra’s EBITDA.”

Ms Brady said in the short term, to help Telstra Enterprise focus on the domestic market, as part of this change Telstra International would continue to operate as a standalone business but report into Brendon Riley, the CEO of Telstra InfraCo.

Mr Camplin-Warner’s appointment is conditional on obtaining the approval of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, which is required due to Telstra’s ownership of Telstra Super Pty Ltd.
