Nerida Caesar to leave Telstra, Paul Geason to head Telstra Enterprise and Government

23 December 2010 – Telstra Chief Executive Officer David Thodey today announced that Nerida Caesar would leave the company in early 2011.

Ms Caesar, who has been Group Managing Director, Telstra Enterprise & Government, since June 2009, has decided to leave the company to pursue another career opportunity. She will be replaced by Paul Geason, currently Group Managing Director, Telstra Wholesale.

“Nerida has led one of the company’s largest and most important divisions, achieving revenue growth in a tough competitive environment. I would like to thank Nerida for her service to the company,” Mr Thodey said.

Mr Thodey said he was delighted that Paul Geason would lead the Enterprise & Government business unit from early 2011.

“I have worked closely with Paul for more than four years both in the Enterprise & Government business unit and on the company’s senior leadership team. I am confident that under Paul’s leadership our enterprise and government team will continue to offer innovative products and services and outstanding customer service,” Mr Thodey said.

Mr Geason has more than a decade of high-level commercial experience. He first joined Telstra in 1994, holding positions in Telstra’s legal and product management teams. After a two-year stint working in the United States, in 2006 Mr Geason joined Telstra Enterprise & Government, before being appointed to lead Telstra Wholesale in 2009.

Glenn Osborne, currently Executive Director, Telstra Wholesale Sales, will lead Telstra Wholesale on an acting basis from 24 December 2010.
