Nerida Caesar appointed Group Managing Director of Telstra Wholesale

Telstra CEO Sol Trujillo today announced that Nerida Caesar had been promoted to Group Managing Director, Telstra Wholesale.

Ms Caesar, who is currently Executive Director, National Sales at Telstra Enterprise and Government, replaces Kate McKenzie, who was appointed Group Managing Director, Strategic Marketing last week. Ms Caesar’s appointment is effective March 30.

Ms Caesar joined Telstra in 2006. In her current role, she is directly responsible for the financial and working relationship with Telstra’s biggest enterprise and government customers.

Mr Trujillo said that Ms Caesar’s consistent top-level performance and her background overseeing large strategic customer relationships were perfect preparation for the Telstra Wholesale role.

“Nerida has shown tremendous energy, intelligence and strategic thinking in her management of complex customer relationships since joining Telstra,” Mr Trujillo said. “Nerida’s promotion to GMD of Telstra Wholesale is a natural progression for someone who has displayed leadership and vision while consistently delivering results in her sales role with Telstra’s biggest customers.”

Ms Caesar said she was delighted to take on the role of GMD, Telstra Wholesale and looking forward to taking her place on the CEO Leadership Team.

“Telstra Wholesale is one of the most exciting and issues-rich parts of the company, and I am very excited to have the opportunity to lead the division at an important time in its history,” Ms Caesar said. “Telstra values its wholesale customers and I hope to build on the strong relationships that Kate McKenzie forged during her time in the role.”

Ms Caesar joined Telstra in 2006 as Executive Director, Customer Management Teams and was soon given responsibility to manage the relationships with Telstra’s 1500 enterprise and government customers nationally.

Before joining Telstra, Ms Caesar spent 20 years at IBM, starting as a sales representative at IBM Australia and rising to be vice president of IBM Asia Pacific’s Intel Server division. She lives in Sydney with her husband and two children.
